BALANCING WORK & HEALTH
Established in 1992 with the construction of the Portland State Office Building (PSOB), the Wellness Center is a low-cost facility where employees can go to exercise, stretch, practice yoga or lift weights. Our member-run club, located on the 8th floor, provides a welcome opportunity to add some light exercise or a full workout without leaving the building, and members can engage in physical activity individually or in groups. For more information, visit How It Works.
The club operates on a minimal budget, and all the equipment and services are purchased with membership dues. This is truly our members' club! Any person who is employed by a tenant of PSOB is eligible to become a member.
This page will provide updates about the club’s operation, information about elections, bylaws, and other proposals or changes affecting our members. In addition, check out the Exercise Groups page, which will provide you with descriptions and contact information for current exercise groups you can join. We offer these opportunities for group activities because the presence of other members can motivate us to keep showing up, besides being more fun in a group.
We invite you to visit the Contact Us page and e-mail any of the board members with your ideas for our Website or for the center.
The Wellness Center is closed from 9:00-10:30 am, Monday-Friday for maintenance and sanitation.
