Free Gentle Yoga class led by Kari Christensen in recognition of Public Health Week 2019! The class will take place in Room 1B.
“This group provides the opportunity to practice being gentle to yourself. It includes movements that promote circulation, sensation of breath, and stillness of the mind. The instructor cues to relaxation and awareness of sensory input from the body. Breath and movement keep our organs healthy and our joints lubricated. Gentle yoga practice helps to cultivate a calm nervous system. Variations in poses are taught with the support of yoga props including: blocks, bolster pillows and straps.”
