I believe all movement is exercise and that the key to success is through functional activities that you can actually enjoy! Working as a team, starting out slow, and adding things in small, bite size chunks makes for lasting changes and powerful self-healing. My personal training journey began almost a decade ago while receiving my Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. I worked with a physician referral program and its ability to alleviate symptoms and reduce or even eliminate medications in both my clients and myself inspired me to pursue exercise as medicine. I started my fitness career with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Certified Personal Trainer with additional trainings in Nutritional Counseling and Chronic Pain Education.
I moved to Portland last year to study for my doctorate in naturopathic medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine. I am currently learning about the musculoskeletal system in school including body work techniques like massage therapy. For my own fitness, I train as a dancer and travel to other states and countries as a professional character performer in immersive theater. I have an ever evolving self-care practice in order to accomplish my goals despite living with a chronic illness. My life experiences give me the strength and empathy to help you find your own fitness passions!
